humanitarian sectors. ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields
of health, nutrition, WASH, food security, livelihoods, and protection.

SUMMARY:
His duties will be to diagnose and treat mental illnesses. They often employ
individual or group therapy to gain insight into a patient's past and find
coping methods to help patients address their own problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Psychiatrist will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Conduct
comprehensive psychiatrist assessment by analyzing patient data, clinical
interview and examination, along with diagnostic test to determine the
nature and extent of mental disorder.
- Prescribe,
monitor, and adjust psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat
mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Collaborate
with multidisciplinary health team including physicians, psychologists,
social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals, to discuss and
develop treatment plans and progress.
- Maintain
accurate and confidential patient information and records, including
social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other
professionals.
- Provide
individual, group, and family counselling as part of the treatment plan
towards each patient needs.
- Counsel
outpatients and other patients during office visits.
- Order
and interpret laboratory or diagnostic tests on patient to provide
information on general physical condition and mental disorder.
- Advise
and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients'
conditions and treatment.
- Review
and evaluate treatment procedures and outcomes of other psychiatrists and
medical professionals.
- Support
workplace mental health by addressing stress and other work related
psychological issues experienced by ADRA employees through counselling,
workshop, and early intervention.
- Maintain
compliance with medical ethics, legal requirements, and institutional
policies and procedures.
- Perform
other relevant duties and responsibilities required and requested by the
Program Manager or his representative.
- Adhere
to the organization’s safeguarding framework, including Protection from
Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), child protection, anti-harassment,
and ethical conduct policies, ensuring alignment with international
standards (e.g., Core Humanitarian Standard, UN CRC).
- Promptly
report safeguarding concerns or violations through designated channels,
maintain confidentiality, and participate in mandatory safeguarding
training to uphold a safe, inclusive environment for all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s
degree as a medical doctor in psychiatry.
- A
certification from an accredited institution in psychiatry
- 3
years of experience in psychiatric practice
- The
ability to relate to children and young adults

- English
and Arabic Languages (Writing and speaking) are required.
- Proficiency
