  • JOB TITLE: Junior Programme Officer - Aden
  • LOCATION: Aden (with frequent travel to HALO locations)
  • REPORTING TO: Research Analyst (1RO); Programme Manager (2RO) 

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive Junior Programme Officer to support donor management and programme communication. You will help maintain strong donor relationships, contribute to proposals and reports, and assist in monitoring and evaluation activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of impactful development projects across mine action activities in south Yemen.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Draft reports, case studies, newsletters, and communication materials
  • Support the development of proposals and programme briefs
  • Assist in monitoring, evaluation, data collection, and analysis
  • Manage donor folders and ensure timely submission of documents
  • Capture and manage photos/videos from operations
  • Support donor relationship management and communication
  • Create engaging social media content
  • Stay informed about development projects in HALO’s areas of operation
  • Support training of operational teams on beneficiary data collection
  • Provide translation/interpretation support as needed

REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIAL:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Media, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
  • Relevant experience in donor relations and grant writing strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and deadlines
