Médecins Sans Frontières France is looking for Yemeni
nationals to recruit for the following position:
Female Medical Doctor
Location: Haydan hospital – Saada governorate.
Contract type: Full time contract.
Opening date: 29/05/2025
Reporting to: Medical Doctor Supervisor.
Main task:
- Apply
medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevention. Carry out
emergency, outpatient and inpatient consultations, prescribing the
necessary treatment respecting MSF protocols.
- Keep
the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide
appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow, checking they have
understood.
- Follow
up the evolution of the hospitalized/IDP patients, through daily visits ,
consultations and examinations, prescribing the necessary treatment
following MSF protocols, deciding whether they can be discharged or
transferred to other departments – in collaboration with other doctors-
and informing their family about the patient’s evolution.
- Check
and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment under
his/her responsibility and take care the quality, disinfection and
sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with
standing hygiene standards.
- Participate
in the collection and analysis of epidemiological data, checking its
validity and informing the line manager or project coordinator about any
problem or complication of the patient’s illness, medical error and
monitors the proper functioning of the department, equipment or material.
- Attend
ongoing training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in
order to optimize the quality of care.
- Know
and ensure all MSF medical protocols are followed and implemented. Check
universal precautions are followed at all times, minimize bio-hazard risks
and always respect infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Professional
and Medical confidentiality must be fully respected at all times.
Context-Specific
Inpatient Department (IPD) Doctor
- Conduct
daily ward rounds in Pediatric, ITFC, Neonatal, Isolation, and Adult IPD
units, ensuring timely emergency reviews as needed.
- Collaborate
closely with the Pediatrician to manage complex pediatric and neonatal
cases, including malnutrition cases in ITFC.
- Advise
parents on child nutrition, breastfeeding, and disease prevention.
- Attend
emergency deliveries to assist with newborn resuscitation when requested
by maternity or OT.
- Follow
IPC protocols for isolation units, maintaining direct communication with
the IPC supervisor regarding compliance and issues.
Night Shift IPD Doctor
- Take
handover from the day shift GP at 8:00 PM and review critical patients
across HDU Neonates, Pediatrics, ITFC, Isolation, and Adult IPDs.
- Perform
initial ward rounds at 8:30 PM and update the Pediatrician on critical
patients and complex management plans.
- Provide
emergency newborn resuscitation at deliveries when requested by maternity
or OT.
- Maintain
communication with specialists (e.g., surgeon, pediatrician, anesthetist)
and MDS/MAM when required.
- It is
essential to be able to cover night shifts.
- Perform
additional duties as required, based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Medical
Doctor diploma. Desirable diploma in Tropical Medicine.
- Experience: 2-year
experience minimum as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work (can be within
medical training). Desirable in tropical medicine, or post-registration
experience in Public Health ,obs and gynae, paediatrics, A&E,
infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine
or minor surgery.
