Cleaner
General Mission
Under the line management of HR Coordinator South and West
Coast, the Cleaner is ensuring to Respects the instructions related to the
cleanliness and hygiene of the premises.
Missions / Responsibilities
Mission1: Cleaning /working in the office Regularly
- clean
the furniture at least twice a week.
- wash
curtains and other fabrics at least once a month.
- Performs
window cleaning at least once a month.
- Participates
in setting up the premises during an event, a meeting.
- Reports
to the line manager the maintenance / repair needs of the facilities /
equipment of the assigned premises.
- Warns
immediately the hierarchical and / or technical referent when urgent
repairs are to be carried out or when protective measures of the place
must be taken (premises infested by insects, rats, etc.).
Mission 2: Daily work and Cleaning in HI Office
- Upon
arrival, prepare hot water for tea / coffee.
- Ensure
that there is always drinking water available (filter, bottles, etc.).
- Sweep
and mop the floors;
- Check
that the toilets are well stocked with paper,.
- Clean
the toilet (detergent) in the morning when arriving and at the beginning
of the afternoon;
- Check
that the water supply (kitchen, shower, etc.) is sufficient during water
cuts.
- Make
sure to close the premises (doors, windows) and leave an outside light on,
when there are no occupants in the premises.
- Perform
cleaning of HI GH, including:
- Ventilate
all the rooms.
- Sweep
and mop the floors.
- Clean
the toilet (detergent) in the morning when arriving and at the beginning
of the afternoon.
- Dust
off the furniture.
- Clean
ceilings, removing spiders and their webs.
- Empty
the trash.
Mission 3: Weekly Tasks and cleaning
- Clean
the furniture at least twice a week.
- Wash
towels and bed sheets once a week.
- Washing
and ironing at least twice a week.
Mission 4: Tasks to be done several times a year
- Wash
curtains and other fabrics at least once a quarter.
- Empty,
thaw and clean the fridge / freezer every month.
- Clean
the blankets and mosquito nets at least every 2 months.
- Water
the indoor plants.
- Expose
the mattresses to the air and the sun at least every 2 months.
- Wash
the windows at least once a month.
- Empty
and clean all cupboards at least every 2 months.
- Occupants
of the premises must be informed beforehand of any maintenance, repair, so
that they can save their belongings.
- Prepares
rooms for guests (bath towel, bed sheets, candle, etc.).
- Participates
in setting up the premises during an event, a meeting.

Job Conditions
- The
salary will be defined according to HI’s existing salary scale
- 30
days leave/year + benefits (transport allowance, health insurance, life
insurance)
- The
working hours are the following: 8:00 to 16:30 (with 30 minutes lunch
break) from Sunday to Thursday.
- Note
that working time can go up to 48 hours per week (according to the Yemen
labor law) if it is required by the volume of activities and by the line
manager.
