services and advice to governments and migrants.
Organizational Context and Scope:
Working under the overall supervision of the Senior
Programmes Coordinator (MH), and under the direct supervision of the National
Project health Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for the
carrying out the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the
Medical Services in Yemen:
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Comply with Health Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP’s);
2. Coordinate IOM health activities in Al-Baydha.
3. Work closely with the Medical teams in compliance to the
Health Medical Assistants’ SOPs; including medical teams and their daily tasks
and attendance and coordinate their shifts and leaves
4. Monitor the delivery of primary health care services to
vulnerable conflict-affected Yemeni’s, migrants and
IDPs and hospital referral for patient with needs for specialized services.
5. Ensure systematic data collection, compilation and
reporting on all health activities are provided at Al- Baydha level.
6. Assist in coordinating the provision of health services to
the targeted beneficiaries.
7. Assist in the development, deployment and ongoing
implementation and management of the emergency services for conflict-affected
Yemeni’s, migrants, and IDPs.
8. Assist in collection of beneficiary stories and service
evaluations in coordination with the IOM Migration Health Unit (MHU).
9. Suggest improvements to strengthen internal control
mechanisms; provide inputs for new procedures to complement and/or adapt
existing instructions in an effort to achieve streamlining efficiencies.
10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- University
Degree/ Certificate in Medicine with progressive experience of at least
Three Years;
Experience:
- Minimum
Relevant Progressive 03 Years’ Experience in managing health related
activities, large dynamic teams,
- and
other related background;
- Demonstrated
Knowledge and Understanding medical terminology and background is an added
advantage;
- High
computer literacy in Windows and MS Office (especially Excel) is
mandatory,
- Previous
working experience with NGOs or international organizations is an added
advantage.
LANGUAGES
- Fluency
in Arabic & English Working language.

- This
selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty
stations. Recommended candidates will remain eligible to be appointed in a
similar position for a period of 24 months.
- This
post is subject to local recruitment. Only those holding a valid residence
and work permit for the country where this position is based will be
eligible for consideration.
- Appointment
will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for
appointment, verification of residency, visa, and authorizations by the
concerned Government, where applicable. Vaccination against COVID- 19 will
be required for IOM personnel who are hired or otherwise engaged by IOM.
