empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable
development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships NMO
started its activity in Yemen since 2012 and has been implementing projects in
5 sectors namely FSL, Education and Child Protection, WASH and Health ,Protection,
Shelter and CCCM , and Governance and skill-building

Job Title: Project Officer
Reporting to: Project Manager
Sector: FSL
Location: Taiz (Silw - Al-Mawasit)
Deadline: 5 April 2025
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Planning
for all different project phases to implement the project.
- Organizing
activities and resources to achieve project objectives and prioritizing
execution according to the work plan.
- Participating
in the preparation and review of project plans (procurement – cash flow –
project plans).
- Responsible
for implementing the work plan and completing project-related activities
periodically.
Coordination:
- Coordinating
and communicating with local authorities representing project
stakeholders.
- Coordinating
and communicating with active community components such as associations
and community committees.
- Participating
in the formation of community committees in targeted areas.
- Implementing
follow-up procedures and drafting correspondence related to project
implementation.
Implementation:
- Supervising
and ensuring that project activities are implemented according to the
agreement and project proposal.
- Overseeing
the selection and registration of project beneficiaries based on
intervention criteria.
- Participating
in the selection of project suppliers and monitoring the supply process to
targeted areas.
- Supervising
the preparation and review of the procurement plan and submitting purchase
requests for all project activities according to the work plan and
organizational procedures.
- Overseeing
the documentation and reporting of activities, including supporting
documents.
- Supervising
field staff performance, evaluating their implementation of all
activities, and regularly submitting progress reports.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Continuous
follow-up through periodic meetings, providing clear guidance to the team
regarding responsibilities and expected tasks, and ensuring their needs
are met to carry out activities.
- Ensuring
the preparation, collection, and storage of project records and documents
(reports – work plans – records) according to NMO procedures.
- Monitoring
project implementation progress through tracking and communicating with
the monitoring and evaluation team.
- Engaging
the monitoring and evaluation team in all implementation plans for distributions
to project beneficiaries.
Protection:
- Ensuring
that the project team is aware of security issues, policies, and safety
procedures.
- Monitoring
the local security situation and reporting developments to the security
officer through regular written reports.
- Contributing
to updating security guidelines in the project's intervention area.
Transparency:
- Ensuring
staff awareness and adherence to the Code of Conduct and employee policies
of Nahda Makers Organization.
- Ensuring
that employees are familiar with and apply policies and regulations
related to (quality and compliance, security and safety, logistics,
finance, and IT).
Reporting:
- Committing
to providing regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to the
field team.
- Preparing
and submitting monthly project reports to the direct manager.
- Preparing
all types of project reports (quarterly, interim, and final reports).
- Supervising
and ensuring the preparation and archiving of project-related documents
(electronic and paper copies).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education:
- A
university degree, a bachelor’s degree, in ( Business Administration,
Engineering, etc.) or a related field.
Experience:
- 2
years of experience in food security and livelihoods projects consisting
of awareness campaigns, distributions and trainings with a humanitarian
organization.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge
of office systems, including experience with computer applications (such
as WORD, EXCEL, and email.
- Fluency
in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Ability
to write reports.
- Ability
to plan and manage tasks
- High
skills in communicating with communities, including questioning and
dialogue management skills.
- Ability
to work with others.
- Ability
to collect and analyze information and figures, interpret causes and
results, and make recommendations.
- Ability
to solve problems and satisfy beneficiaries.
- Rapid
learning and self-cognitive growth.
