Position Type: Full-time | 6-month contract (with possibility of
extension depends on funds and performance)

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced
Logistics and Procurement Officer to support the implementation of the project:
“Emergency Response to Displacement and Climate Change in Yemen – Al-Dhalea
Governorate.”
The project aims to improve access to safe, inclusive, and quality education
for displaced and vulnerable children—particularly girls and children with
disabilities.
Position Summary
The Logistics and Procurement Officer is responsible
for timely and compliant procurement of goods and services, management of
logistical operations, and maintaining effective supply chain systems for the
project. The officer will ensure that project resources are procured and
delivered efficiently and in accordance with donor and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive,
review, and process purchase requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Identify
and evaluate suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality,
cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare
procurement documentation including quotations, bid analyses, contracts,
and purchase orders.
- Track
and manage orders, deliveries, and inventory.
- Ensure
proper asset management and control of office and field stock supplies.
- Oversee
vehicle movements and logistics support to field activities.
- Coordinate
with the finance team on invoice verification and payment processing.
- Maintain
procurement files, logs, and records to support transparency and audits.
- Update
the procurement plan and supplier database regularly.
- Provide
technical support and procurement guidance to project staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or
related field.
- Minimum
of 2 years of experience in procurement/logistics in NGO or donor-funded
projects.
- Solid
understanding of procurement processes and donor compliance requirements.
- Proficiency
in MS Office and inventory management systems.
- Excellent
negotiation and organizational skills.
- Fluency
in Arabic is required; English proficiency is an asset.
