JOB TITLE: ICT Assistant
LOCATION: Mokha
REPORTING TO: IM/GIS Officer - Mokha
MAIN DESCRIPTION
Working under the supervision of the IM/GIS officer you will
provide key ICT support within HALO’s Yemen programme. This is an excellent
opportunity for anyone who would like to accelerate their ICT career in a
sector-leading organisation. This position is located at our office in Al-Mokha
but may require travel to our offices in Aden and Taiz city. The successful
candidate will function as a focal point with Head Office in the UK and provide
ICT support for all locations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Implement
information security technical controls and ensure that information
security policies and copyright and data protection laws are upheld.
- Develop
and maintain ICT documentation.
- Assist
end users in all aspects of IT support.
- Set
up, or assist with, maintaining and administering desktops, servers,
computer networks, printers, fixed and mobile telephones, software, and
other IT peripherals.
- Maintain
the inventory of all ICT assets (software and hardware).
- Manage
the backup of data and systems and assist in disaster recovery.
- Assist
with the creation, maintenance, and delivery of information security
awareness training for colleagues.
- Investigate
security alerts and incidents and provide incident response.
- Function
as a focal point for the programme with HQ’s ICT team.
- Assist
with Information Management tasks including, but not limited to,
translations and quality control process.
REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIAL
Essential skills and experience
- Existing
experience of working in a similar position, and a relevant IT
qualification.
- Microsoft
operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 10, 11).
- Microsoft
365 desktop apps for enterprise.
- Computer
networking.
- PC
hardware.
- Data
visualization using Power BI.
- Self-motivated,
with the ability to work independently.
- Ability
to build good personal working relationships.
- Great
English language.
Desirable skills and experience
- OneDrive/SharePoint
Online
- MacOS
- Android/
iOS
- Data
collection applications (Kobo toolbox, Survey123…etc)
- GIS
experience using QGIS, ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro
