About MOZN:
Mozn Charitable Developmental and Social Foundation is a
non-profit organization established in the year 2015 under the Yemeni
Institutions and Associations Law, affiliated with the Ministry of Social
affairs and Labor. It operates under permit number (63/691) within the Republic
of Yemen. Since its inception, the foundation has been working to assist and
develop the Yemeni society by actively contributing to the provision of
essential services and humanitarian and developmental assistance through the
implementation of projects and activities aimed at meeting the needs of
affected communities and enhancing the diverse capacities of individuals of all
genders.
Job Objective:
We are seeking a Psychosocial Support Officer (PSS Officer)
to join the team for the "Integrated Emergency Response" project
aimed at providing lifesaving support to the most vulnerable communities in Al
Jawf Governorate, specifically in the Al Mutun and Al Hazm areas.
Roles and Duties:
- Assess
the psychosocial needs of the target groups.
- Implement
psychosocial activities and provide regular psychological counseling.
- Provide
psychological counseling to cases requiring psychosocial support services.
- Enter
data on received and referred cases into the database and send it to the
line manager.
- Ensure
coordination with key service providers in the area of intervention for
referrals, follow-up, and information exchange.
- Ensure
compliance with data protection protocols.
- Referral
files and technical reports must be archived in a secure, locked location;
access to them must be restricted to authorized protection program staff.
- Conduct
field visits to cases unable to access the space and in need of
psychological support and services, and provide appropriate services.
- Work
with community groups and protection staff on the project team to
contribute to monitoring activities to better understand protection needs.
- Provide
psychological support to cases referred by safe space supervisors in line
with the objectives of the case plan.
- Participate
in preparing accurate reports for all relevant psychosocial activities.
- Perform
any other tasks assigned by the project management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A
degree in psychology, sociology, or related fields.
- Previous
experience in humanitarian, Psychosocial Support and social work.
- Strong
communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability
to work in multicultural environments.
