ABOUT FMF:
The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in
Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the
region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the
helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to
those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before
the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9
million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to
rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing
aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of
international emergency relief.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Assistant will support the Project Officer in
implementing day-to-day project activities, including field coordination, data
collection, beneficiary communication, and logistics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support
the WASH Officer in supervising the on-site implementation of field
activities.
- Provide
hands-on support during community mobilization, awareness sessions, and
campaigns.
- Assist
in organizing distributions of hygiene kits, MHM kits, and tools.
- Assist
in technical training of community volunteers, WASH committees, and
relevant government staff in coordination with the Project Officer and
technical leads.
- Prepare
draft reports for the WASH Officer, including photo evidence and progress
updates.
- Conduct
field visits, collect monitoring data, and ensure timely reporting.
- Maintain
project records, beneficiary lists, and documentation.
- Work
closely with the WASH Officer to align logistics with activity timelines.
- Liaise
with community volunteers and contractors under the WASH Officer’s
guidance.
- Any
other activities as per the request of the WASH officer
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A
diploma in a relevant field, such as Civil engineering, Water and
Sanitation Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, etc.
- 1–2
years' experience in humanitarian WASH projects.
- Good
knowledge of safety standards and legislation related to construction and
rehabilitation in Yemen.
- Good
organizational and communication skills.
- Ability
to work in remote, rural settings and with vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge
of MS Office and data entry tools.
