programs in Yemen in the fields of health, nutrition, WASH, food security,
livelihoods, and protection.

SUMMARY:
The Trainer is responsible for delivering his/ her tasks as
assigned in the responsibilities section. (S)he will be responsible of
beneficiaries training on the technical part of the hydroponics on how to use
and maintain the equipment and seeds. After training beneficiaries, the Trainer
will conduct a practical test to identify successful potential beneficiaries.
This training will focus on how hydroponics can be considered as a
strategic approach for more sustainable smart climate change adaptation ideas
that can be an added value for income generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The “Hydroponics Trainer” will be responsible but not limited
to:
Task 1: Training and Capacity Building
- Develop
and deliver training sessions on hydroponic farming techniques, including
nutrient management, water systems, and plant care.
- Teach
beneficiaries how to use and maintain hydroponic equipment and seeds effectively.
- Conduct
hands-on training with practical demonstrations.
- Assess
participants' understanding through a practical test to identify the most
successful trainees.
- Ensure
proper functioning of equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Provide
advisory support on optimizing production and maximizing yields.
Task 2: Strategic Hydroponics Adaptation for Climate
Resilience
- Offer
insights into how hydroponic farming can be used for income generation.
Task 3 : Support and Reporting
- Submitting
a final report upon completion of all assigned tasks.
- Performs
all other relevant duties and responsibilities as requested by the direct
supervisor.
Deliverables:
The Trainer is expected to deliver the following outputs:
1. Training curriculum and materials tailored to
beneficiaries’ needs.
2. Training sessions conducted with documented attendance
and progress reports.
3. Practical assessment results identifying successful
beneficiaries.
4. Final report with key findings, recommendations, and
lessons learned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Has at
least a Master’s degree or equivalent in agricultural fields.
- Has
been trained on Greenhouses /Hydroponic systems-home gardening.
- Must
be a specialist in the stated themes.
- Strong
ability to verbally communication complex ideas to urban populations in
Arabic and English.
- Experience
of at least 3 years in training communities on Hydroponics planting.
- Strong
Community Mobilization skills.
- Has a
vast experience in preparing feasibility studies in the assigned scope of
work.
