Job Description
CARE International is currently seeking a Field
Assistant. The Field Assistant supports field activities under the supervision
of the Project Officer. This entry-level role is crucial for assisting in
community mobilization, supporting the monitoring of project activities, aiding
in data collection and reporting, and ensuring the efficient and effective
implementation of the project’s activities. The position typically requires
minimal experience and involves frequent movement within the community areas
where CARE Yemen implements its projects.
Position: Field Assistant
Location: Hadramout ( Ash-Shihr, Qusai’ir, Al-Raydah)
Main Responsibilities:
Support for Field Activities:
- Assist
in the organization and mobilization of community groups.
- Support
the registration of project participants and the dissemination of project
information.
- Help
monitor the implementation of activities on the ground and report issues
to the Project Officer.
- Collect
data and participate in baseline assessments as required.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare
basic reports on field activities, highlighting challenges and successes.
- Document
field experiences and assist in the preparation of periodic progress
updates.
Capacity Support:
- Provide
logistical support during training sessions and workshops.
- Assist
in the preparation of training materials and participation in
capacity-building activities.
- Perform
other duties as assigned
Education/Training Required:
- Bachelor’s
degree in related fields.
- Minimal
experience (less than 1 year) in community work or similar roles is
typical for this position.
- Familiarity
with the local community and its needs.
- Skills
in monitoring implementation of program activities.
- Able
to travel to remote rural areas including overnight staying.
- Ability
to work under pressure.
- Basic
communication skills in Arabic; knowledge of English is a plus.
- Basic
computer literacy (Word, Excel).
