About the role
Overall purpose of the role:
Under the overall guidance of the MEAL Team Leader, this non-managerial position supports the implementation of MEAL activities by contributing to quality monitoring processes and promoting accountability towards beneficiaries and other target groups. The role will primarily support MEAL field activities for mixed migration interventions in Lahj (Kharaz). He/she will focus on conducting monitoring visits, collecting data, documenting and sharing feedback, and facilitating awareness sessions when required.
Main responsibilities:
· Conduct in-person data collection for PSMs to measure beneficiary satisfaction and gather other relevant findings while accompanying the programme team during patrols, using paper-based questionnaires or KoBo Collect.
· Conduct patrols and regular field visits with the programme team, deliver awareness sessions for newly arrived migrants, and promptly share and discuss any key issues, observations, or feedback collected with the MEAL Team Leader.
· Ensure the timely entry/export of all satisfaction forms received from beneficiaries and share them with the MEAL team leader to be added to the master satisfaction database.
· Conduct random field visits to the restaurant to check the quantity/quality of the provided meals
· Receive and document beneficiaries' feedback and complaints through face-to-face meetings during patrols, ensuring that all sensitive feedback and protection-related concerns are reported and shared as promptly as possible through the appropriate channels.
· Perform other duties as assigned by MEAL Team Leader/Manager.
Experience and technical competencies:
Skills and Experiences:
· Fluent speaker of Oromo, Amharic, Tigray, and Somali
· Ability to write reports in English.
· Good knowledge of MS utilities (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· Good training & communication skills.

Education:
High school certificate. Preferably, a bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, statistics, economics, M&E science, social science, or a related field.
Languages:
· Oromo, Amharic, Tigray, and Somali (Fluent)
· English (Good).
· Arabic (Good).

Contract length: 4 months contract with possibility of extending two more months.
Start date: ASAP
Duty station: Lahj (Kharaz), Yemen, with frequent travel to Aden office if needed.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s National Terms of Employment.
