Why join us?
It is an opportunity to oversee the implementation of
ongoing FSL projects and development of new projects, as well as lead the
development of the FSL's programme strategy and department.
Since 2015, Aden the interim capital of the Internationally
Recognized Government (IRG) has experienced a very volatile political and
security environment, leading to several outbursts of violence. ACF is managing
to navigate within the complex political and security environment. Acceptance
with all actors combined with a solid monitoring of the situation is what
allows ACF to implement in the broader South. The ACF guesthouse and office is
housed in two multi-storeyed buildings located by the sea in Khormaskar
neighbourhood, which is 10 minutes’ drive from the Aden International Airport.
The buildings are fortified for safety and security purposes and have fully
equipped bunkers with hibernation kits for use in the event of external
threats.
The facility has office space for up to around 30 staff and
combined guesthouse space for 5 international staff with some rooms having
attached bathrooms and others having shared bathroom. The improved security
situation in Aden has since seen the reconstruction of infrastructure across
the city, reopening of social facilities such as parks, coffee/fast food
restaurants and shopping malls accessible based on local operating procedures
and guidelines issued by ACF’s security team.
