BCHR is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide
health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian
response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2015.
About the Job:
Under the supervision of the project Manager, Field worker
will be responsible to deliver project activities on site, collect data, and
support the project implementation.
, Field Worker will be responsible for assisting the MEAL activities at the
field level " with" assessments, verifications, distributions,
and day-to-day data collection and reporting.
Field Worker will be responsible to implement all quality assurance assessments
during the implementation of the project also he/she will be responsible to
provide support for MEAL specialist in prepare quality assurance report.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
To implement, operate, and control the project activities.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Conduct
field surveys and assessments to gather data for ongoing projects and
initiatives.
- Execute
project tasks in collaboration with team members and community
stakeholders.
- Monitor
the implementation of the project at the local level in close
collaboration with the with the local authority’s/ stake holders, &
report any delays or issues in the field level.
- Monitor
& review deliveries, storage, transport & distribution at the
designated sites & verify.
- Review
beneficiary verification and assist with the selection of community
volunteers at the field level.
- Monitor
& review distribution at the designated sites & verify if the
received have been properly recorded, damaged or suspected to be damaged.
- Supervise
the efficient distribution at the site & ensure proper distribution of
entitlements & verify appropriate are distributed.
- Conduct
regular meetings with the community leaders to discuss implementation
arrangements, & other relevant issues.
- Ensure
and follow up that all reports are accurately prepared and submitted on
time.
- Report
periodically to the project officer on relevant events activities, and
progress.
- Participate
in team planning of field activities
- Prepare
required activity reports after each distribution
- Contribute
to the documentation of lessons learned and success stories from
implemented activities.
- Regularly
provide feedback to the team to ensure responsiveness to changing context
and concerns from communities
- Distribute
beneficiary feedback hotline cards directly to the beneficiaries.
- Act as
a liaison between the organization and the communities we serve, building
strong relationships and trust.
- Maintain
accurate records of field activities, observations, and findings.
- Any
other tasks as requested by the line management.
Essential Requirements:
- University
degree in business administration relevant fields or equivalent.
- 2-year
experience working in humanitarian work and /or international development,
and experience of working on field/or accountability to beneficiaries
- Previous
experience in fieldwork or community outreach.
- Experience
of both qualitative and quantitative data collection,
- Knowledge
and/or experience of working on accountability initiatives
- Excellent
verbal/written communication and relationship building skills.
- Computer
literacy of using Word, Excel a plus and access.
- Strong
interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse
groups.
- Strong
communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability
to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic
and positive attitude towards community work and collaboration.
- Excellent
skills in report writing.
