Background

To support the implementation of communication, advocacy, and documentation activities for the Tech Hub project through field coordination, media coverage, content production, and regular management and updating of the Tech Hub website, ensuring clear messaging, consistent visibility, and achievement of project objectives.

 

YLDF is seeking candidates that transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained results; we need staff who are transparent, exceptional in how they manage the resources entrusted to them and who commit to deliver excellence in program results.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Visual & Media Tasks:

 

Contribute to the implementation of communication and community awareness activities according to the project plan, in coordination with the project team and the Advocacy & Communication Consultant.

Support field-level advocacy activities, including coordination with beneficiaries, local communities, civil society organizations, and relevant stakeholders, and assist in organizing dialogue sessions, workshops, and community events.

Document project activities in the field (photography, short videos, quotes, activity summaries), in compliance with safeguarding policies and informed consent procedures.

Maintain and update the Tech Hub website, publishing news, activities, announcements, and related visual content throughout the project, coordinating with the Communication team.

Prepare and adapt basic communication and media materials (digital posts, social media content, presentations) using approved templates.

Support dissemination of key project messages through appropriate field and digital channels, ensuring consistency with project objectives and values.

Collect field feedback and observations and report challenges, risks, or community sensitivities related to project activities.

Prepare brief periodic reports on implemented communication and advocacy activities using approved formats.

Contribute to documenting success stories, beneficiary testimonials, and lessons learned related to digital empowerment, in coordination with the Communication team.

Organize and archive communication and digital materials related to the project.

Carry out any other related communication or advocacy support tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

  Role of Communication Assistant toward the safeguarding and PSEA committee:

 

 Assist on develop the organization’s communications strategy incorporating components o safeguarding

 Identify appropriate safeguarding messages and channels for broadcasting.

Include information about safeguarding on social media channels and/ or newsletters.

Design appropriate informed consent procedures and forms.

Develop safeguarding / PSEA IEC and awareness materials according to projects and programs needs and suitable for the community and target groups.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communication, Media, Management, Social Sciences, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Relevant practical experience in communication, documentation, or field-based project support.

Basic knowledge of design and documentation tools (e.g. Photoshop or similar).

Basic knowledge of website Content Management Systems (CMS) and the ability to update and manage website content.

Competency in digital content management, including publishing news, updating pages, and uploading photos and videos.

Ability to use computers and Google Workspace applications.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure.

Very good command of Arabic and English (written and spoken).
