Grants Officer – Sana’a & Aden Office
Location: Sana’a and Aden Governorates (with regular travel to
other sites).
Period: 6 - 12 months, renewable subject to performance.
Duty Station: Life Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Aden city–Yemen.
Terms: Full Time Position (8 Eight hours per working day), with field visits to
the work sites.
Classification: Grants Management.
Expected Start Date: 15 -12 - 2025
Job Grade: - Third Degree.

LMMPO is keen to have a competent candidate to fill the position of Grants
Officer - Sana’a & Aden Office.
Purpose/Scope of the Task: -
To support the organization in securing and funding projects by
identifying grant opportunities, preparing applications accurately, and
ensuring compliance with donor requirements, in addition to Strengthening
Relationships with Partners & donors to ensure successful and sustainable
project implementation.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
I. Funding Search
- Grant Prospecting: Proactively monitor and track
new funding opportunities from international donors, financing entities,
private sector and specialized platforms.
- Compatibility Analysis: Analyze donor requirements
and evaluate their alignment with the organization's strategic goals and
programmers.
- Executive Summaries: Prepare concise briefs on
identified funding opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to
Senior Management.
- Database Management: Build and maintain a
comprehensive, up-to-date database of current and prospective donors and
future funding opportunities.
II. Grants Tracking & Management (Grant Lifecycle)
- Contract Compliance: Oversee the entire grant
lifecycle from the contract signing stage through to closure, ensuring
strict adherence to all contractual terms and conditions.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare timely progress
reports detailing grant status, expenditure levels, activity advancements,
and potential challenges.
- Deadline Adherence: Ensure all technical and
financial reporting deadlines for every grant are met without exception.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and
external audits, ensuring all required documentation is readily available
and organized.
- Documentation & Archiving: Systematically
archive all grant documentation (contracts, correspondence, amendments,
reports etc.) for easy retrieval.
- Internal Coordination: Coordinate effectively with
technical and finance teams to ensure activities are implemented in line
with approved plans and budgets.
- Reporting: The Grants Coordinator will be
reporting to the Executive Director.
III. Donor Relations & Engagement
- Relationship Building: Develop and foster
positive, professional relationships with donors and international
partners.
- Meeting Representation: Participate in donor
meetings, prepare comprehensive minutes and follow up on all action
points.
- Continuous Communication: Maintain continuous
communication with donors regarding inquiries, clarification requests, and
contractual amendments.
- Success Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic
updates to donors, including success stories and achieved results.
- Strategic Analysis: Analyze donor trends and
funding strategies, providing recommendations for future partnership
opportunities.
- Representation: Represent the organization at
donor events to enhance institutional visibility and funding prospects.
IV. Proposal Development & Quality Assurance
- Contribution to Proposals: Contribute
significantly to the preparation of project proposals and budgets in
coordination with technical and finance teams.
- Quality Review: Review and vet proposals to ensure
they meet donor compliance requirements and maintain high quality
standards.
- Planning Support: Assist in developing detailed
work plans and project timelines for proposed initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration,
Development Studies, International Relations, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in
grant management, project development, and/or donor relations.
- Strong knowledge of international donor
guidelines, funding mechanisms, and application procedures.
- Excellent report and proposal writing skills in
both Arabic and English.
- High capacity for organization, time management,
and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,
especially Excel and Word.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Languages:
- Professional fluency in English (both written and
spoken) is mandatory.
