ADRA International serves 120 countries and is present in Yemen since 1995. Its
programs are supported by USAID, BHA, The Japan Platform, DANIDA, GFFO, BMZ,
IHA Canada, UNOCHA, WFP ....etc. It has presence in different Governorates in Yemen
responding to 6 areas of humanitarian sectors. ADRA Yemen is undertaking
programs in Yemen in the fields of health, nutrition, WASH, food security,
livelihoods, and protection.

SUMMARY:
Under the direct leadership of the Field Officer, the Field
Assistant will participate in the management and supervision of implementation
of CAV assistance intervention to beneficiaries based on the targeted district.
The given responsibilities will include providing support to the Field Officer
and field team in planning, organizing and implementing field activities,
sensitizing communities, and collaborating and coordinating with beneficiaries/communities,
local authorities, and other stakeholders, in addition to ensuring that project
deliverables are timely and of good quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work
with the Field Officer in planning, implementation, monitoring and
evaluation of all project related field activities.
- Assist
the field team to reach out to the targeted beneficiaries, coordinate and
make all logistics including facilitate the movement of project staff to
ensure successful implementation of all project field activities.
- Under
the supervision of the Field Officer, oversee and coordinate field
activities, facilitate the CVA distribution, act link between the project
and beneficiaries, sensitize beneficiaries/communities and local
authorities, create better understanding on the intervention’s objectives
and implementing activities among all stakeholders in the targeted
District.
- Under
the supervision of the Field Officer, participate in monitoring overall
CVA activities at the ground level.
- Facilitate
and participate in project beneficiary identification and selection per
the criteria, beneficiary registration and verification, baseline and
end-line assessment, onsite and PDM monitoring, and involve actively in
selection of community committee.
- Continuously
monitor the security condition on the ground and keep the Field Officer
informed accordingly, be aware of the potential for loss or fraud
surrounding the CVA distribution activities.
- Ensures
all field project activities are in line with general protection
principles as relevant, including safeguarding framework, Protection from
Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), child protection, anti-harassment,
ethical conduct policies, and maintaining confidentiality of beneficiaries
and colleagues.
- Provide
support to MEAL team and participate in the collection of data and
information from Key Informants and through group discussions and other
methods.
- Participate
in preparing and submitting accurate and timely internal and donor
reporting of beneficiary numbers and activities, through ad hoc, weekly,
monthly, quarterly, final and annual reports.
- Coordinate,
facilitate, and participate in conducting orientation and build capacity
of volunteers/community committees on project implementation and beneficiary
selection process.
- Support
in setting up and operating of the project complaint and feedback
mechanism, establish extensive two-way communication towards and from
communities/beneficiaries and ADRA.
- Set up
crowd control during distribution, monitor CVA redemption and food
distribution process at the distribution points.
- Participate
in monitor the market price of food commodities when requested.
- Assist
in writing and submitting human interest stories and documenting
activities through photos and videos when required, contribute in the
program lessons learned and best practices and reports on progress.
- work
closely with the Field Officer and field team in obtaining approvals where
necessary, manages the logistical arrangements including training workshops
and events.
- Under
the supervision of the Field Officer, ensure close coordination with
public figures and stakeholders, laisse with local authority, established
and maintain partnerships through regular consultations with local
partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries in the project implementation
areas.
- Adhere
to the organization’s safeguarding framework, including Protection from
Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), child protection, anti-harassment,
and ethical conduct policies, ensuring alignment with international
standards (e.g., Core Humanitarian Standard, UN CRC).
- Promptly
report safeguarding concerns or violations through designated channels,
maintain confidentiality, and participate in mandatory safeguarding
training to uphold a safe, inclusive environment for all stakeholders.
- Perform
other relevant duties as assigned by the Direct Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s
degree in social science, Economics, or relevant field is required.
- A
Minimum of One year of experience in Field Assistant Positions Preferably
in Humanitarian NGOs.
- Teamwork
and Management Skills
- Very
Good communication and observation skills.
- Experience
to deliver an effective awareness/training to community/volunteers.
- Good
Organization skills, attention to detail, and reporting in timely manner
- Ability
to work in remote and rugged areas.
- Proficiency
in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
- English
and Arabic languages (writing and speaking) are required.
- Have
an experience with ADRA is preferable and add value
- Capable
to working independently, with little supervision and be
self-motivated
- Proven
analytical and problem-solving skills
- The
applicant must be from the same area
