PRESENTATION OF THE ORGANIZATION
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international
humanitarian NGO which, for more than 40 years, has been providing assistance
to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting
their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the
fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the
world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking
water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food
security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000
people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters,
and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while
respecting cultures.

sexual harassment (SEAH) against members of beneficiary communities or
collaborators, fraud, corruption, violation of persons and/or property, funding

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
MISSION / OBJECTIVES
The Team Leader will coordinate the FSL team in
Marib in order to set up the FSL activities, ensuring that Solidarities
International technical recommendations and procedures are followed. The FSL TL
will be part of a program aimed at supporting animal health through a
veterinary mobile clinic and training for animal health workers, while also
supporting communities and vulnerable households through income-generating
activities, including business grants and agricultural activities. The
Team Leader is expected to comply with the core humanitarian principles of
neutrality, impartiality, humanity, and independence as well as with the
principles and mandate of Solidarities International at all times.
Main Responsibilities:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Setting up the activities /control and
supervision
- With
support from FSL Coordinator and line manager, plan, coordinate and
conduct technical assessments and rapid needs assessments to identify
opportunities for income generation and agricultural support
- Produce
technical files (BOQs, Scope of work, Drawing ect.) according to the
identified needs, standards and available resources.
- Participate
and contribute to the proposal writing stage by providing the line
manager/ FSL Coordinator with necessary information, assessments and
elements.
- Carry
out area targeting, stakeholder mapping, and beneficiary selection
processes specifically for agriculture income-generating activities and
veterinary services. Ensure adherence to selection and targeting criteria
for food security and livelihood support activities.
- Plan
the weekly activities for his/her team and have them approved by his/her
Line Manager:
- Plan
human resources need (daily workers, skilled workers for agricultural and
veterinary tasks ...)
- Plan
tool and material needs (request from stock)
- Anticipate
administrative issues (submitting requests in advance)
- Anticipate
logistics issues (transport, communication means...).
- Provide
technical guidance, training and supervision, with focus on: Sustainable
agricultural practices, Drip irrigation, Climate smart agriculture,
Business Development activities and Business Grant Distribution,
Vocational skill development, Market assessments an analysis, Village
Saving Loan Association (VSLA) Process, Mobile animal health services.
- Monitor
the effectiveness of training, activities, quality/quantity of materials
and support provided to beneficiaries, adjusting technical approaches
based on observed outcomes and feedback. Ensuring compliance with
standards and instructions from the Line Manager and Solidarités
procedures.
- Approve
spending on allocated program lines and ensure accurate budget management
and oversight through tracking and forecasting expenditures.
- Explore
new business and partnerships within the area of implementation.
- Organize
lesson learnt workshop and other program evaluation activities.
- Take
part and coordinate the updating of activities implementation
methodology/Sop\Ps and institutional knowledge building (IKB).
Logistics and Administration
- Initiate
the procurement requests by raising BLs according to the identified needs,
standards, and available resources.
- Analyse
the need and coordinate the recruitment process of daily workers, follow
procedures as outlined by his/her Line Manager and the administrative
service.
- Train
his/her team members to use and maintain the available monitoring and
Follow Up tools correctly.
- Track
usage with monitoring tools provided: Ensure Follow Up tools are updated
on a regular basis
- Ensure
the receipt and storage of material and equipment necessary for his/her
work to be carried out on site.
- Enforce
safety procedures.
- Ensure
that safety procedures are followed by members of his/her team.
- Monitor
the quality and quantity of material delivered to working sites
- Ensure

TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Partake
in the recruitment of national FSL contractors.
- Organise
regular team meetings.
- Supervise
and monitor potential conflicts within the teams and inform the Line
Manager in the case of a problem.
- Report
any misconduct among the FSL team and participate to the relevant HR
process if needed.
- Identify
and report any training needs for the teams to the program manager
- Assist
with the implementation of training.
- Lead
the appraisal process of his team with the support of the Line Manager.
- Plan
the leaves of the FSLteam’s members under the supervision of the Line
Manager.
- Provide
capacity building support to his/her team members.
REPORTING AND COMMNICAITION
- Take
part in weekly line meetings and cluster coordination meetings on request.
- Keep
his/her monitoring tools and files archived in the Solidarités office
accessible to his/her Line Manager.
- Ensure
the collection and compilation of information about the progress of
projects/activities from the FSL Officers.
- Ensure
the soft and hard archiving of program related document and files (MoU,
Beneficiaries list, etc…).
- Write
regular reports on the progress of projects/activities for the Line
Manager.
- Partake
in the drafting of reports and schedules/appendices related to the
activities/projects for reports and/or sponsors.
- Take
part in the drafting of the monthly program pack.
- Represent
SI in collaboration with/ or in absence of the Line Manager to the
relevant bodies: local authorities, Clusters, external coordination
meetings etc.
- Establish
and maintain good relations with local participants and communities
(populations) in the operational fields.
- Listen
to the populations and local participants in the field and report to
his/her Line Manager any non-technical or safety-related issues which
could affect the activities or safety of Solidarités International teams.
- Analyse
the humanitarian situation by taking into account protection issues/Do No
Harm to the population.
- Take
part in updating the mission strategy.

Experience:
- Bachelor
level minimum (in any of the following or similar fields: Agriculture,
Animal husbandry, Agronomy or any related field
- Prior
NGO/INGO experience 3 years minimum in food security.
- Experience
in developing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring livelihood
activities
- Proven
and strong team management skills and experience.
- Knowledge
of the local humanitarian context.
- Good
understanding of the security context.
- Proactive,
motivated, and organized.
- Fluency
in written and spoken Arabic, good knowledge of English is required.
- Strong
analytical and writing/editing skills.
- Good
communication and diplomatic skills.
- Good
knowledge of MS Office Word, PowerPoint and advance MS Office Excel
Knowledge
- Interpersonal
skills, reliability, honesty, accountability, resistance to stress, team
