About Generations without Qat Organization:
GWQ is a voluntary non-governmental youth
organization was launched in 2007 as an initiative of young Yemeni volunteers
with the common goals to involve, guide and invest in development of youth
abilities. The initiative started to work on awareness raising around the
negative consequences of chewing of Qat (a softdrug) as a bad habit that
Yemenis are involved in. Later on this original focus was extended to include
the concept of civic education and to work on developmental issues with and by
youth to enable them to be leaders in their communities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support
in preparing bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, programmatic performance
reports.
- Gathering
new displacement data and monthly reports from IDPs hosting sites
representatives.
- Preparing
the project activities reports and submitted them to his supervisor.
- Gathering
of humanitarian emergency cases data and submitted them to his supervisor.
- Data
analysis on needs assessment forms monthly.
- Archive
all monthly reports and assessment forms
- Review,
check and analyze data uploaded from sites
- Follow-up
sites representatives regarding to monthly report.
- Monitoring
and evaluation work on IDP hosting sites management and coordination
- Work
on all administrative matters for IDP hosting sites representatives.
- Collect
complaints and suggestions data within the SMC.
- Compile
regular reporting from partners on their activities in the sites
- Conduct
and oversee regular data collection, including on service availability and
standards in the sites
- Participate
in assessment and data collection exercises as needed
- Ensure
information is shared back with partners and communities
- Field
visits to conduct ongoing data collection process with beneficiaries'
households and other stakeholders and ensure data collection is conducted
on time and on accordance with the data collection plan.
- Review
the assessment forms of PMT and submit the final list to the data entry
forms.
- Responsible
for establishing a reliable and consistent set of Outcome Indicators for
all program activities.
- Follow
up the M&E system to ensure that the program planning, including
inputs and targets is aligned with the overall program log frames and
other types of M&E indicators.
- Synthesize
and analyze data for summary and thematic reports on M&E findings.
- Manage
the process for regular reporting on findings and coordinate with
appropriate departments for the dissemination of information.
- Manage
day-to-day operations of the M&E system, including support of project
staff in continued implementation of M&E tools and instruments.
- Develop
monthly reports and submit to the M & E officer, highlighting
significant issues and suggest correction actions if needed.
- Document
the field challenges and lesson learned during the project implementation.
- Conduct
FGD, DDM and PDM to ensure the quality of implementation and document the
lesson learnt.
- Plan
and execute needs assessments, baseline, midline and endline assessments
including enumerator training and oversight.
- Act
as focal point for the beneficiary response loop, including complaints.
- Work
with project staff to build capacity in data collection and quality
control..
- This

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRMENTS:
- University
degree in Engineering, Sociology, or a related subject.
- At
least 1 years’ experience working with internally displaced populations.
- Fluency
in written and spoken Arabic and English are required.
- Experience
working with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Detailed
oriented and experience with data entry, assessments and reporting
- Ability
to acquire, build and maintain positive working relationships
- Possesses
strong organizational and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced
environment
- Must
be a self-starter and internally driven to success and hard work
- Ability
to interact well with people of different educational, cultural, and
socio-economic backgrounds
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English
- Levelheaded
and calm demeanor; able to firmly, yet professionally, direct people when
needed
- Must
have a high level of integrity, confidentiality and stewardship.
- Ability
to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered
in daily work.
