organization that partners with communities impacted by conflict, climate
change and disaster to save lives, build greater resilience and promote
long-term health and wellbeing. Currently, RI work in 16 countries around the
world, including some of the most fragile: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Jordan,
Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Turkey,
Yemen and now OPT, providing Health and Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and
Hygiene), Education and Livelihoods programming that creates the foundation for
community resilience. We do this by working with local actors to develop safe
and inclusive local programming that is evidence based, conflict sensitive,
climate smart, and reaches those in need.
About our Country Program/ Regional Programs
RI in the Middle East has programs in seven countries -
Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Türkiye, Yemen, and now OPT with a focus on the 4
main RI sectors: WASH, Health and Nutrition, Education and Livelihoods. Relief
International has been providing humanitarian aid in Yemen since 2010, offering
various services like health, nutrition, water, sanitation, livelihoods, and
protection across the country. They focus on helping vulnerable people,
including internally displaced persons, returnees, and host communities. RI
also provides reproductive health, protection, and gender-based violence responses
in specific areas.
2. Job Profile
[ABOUT THE ROLE]
Under the supervision of the Finance Coordinator, the
Finance & HR Admin Assistant will dedicate 100% of his/her time to keep
accurate financial records. The finance assistant will be responsible provide
administrative, finance, and human resources support to ensure efficient office
operations, accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with organizational
policies, and effective coordination of HR processes, including recruitment,
personnel administration, payroll support, and employee records
management.
[AUTONOMY AND COMPLEXITY]
His/Her role as described involves a degree of both autonomy
and complexity. He/She will act as a focal point for area financial functions,
which requires significant independence in decision-making and control over how
tasks are performed. This autonomy allows him to solve routine financial
problems, applying established procedures and guidelines. The complexity of his
tasks is also high, as they involve analyzing straightforward financial issues,
leveraging professional experience and established precedents to identify
appropriate solutions. prepare inter-company transactions and review
complicated international pharmaceutical and medical equipment/supplies
procurements all of which require to applies problem-solving skills to address
routine financial challenges within the framework of established policies and
procedures.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Support
the day-to-day operations covering financial accounting services,
including accounts payable, reconciliation of inputs, and verifying
accuracy of all transactions entered in the accounting system (NetSuite).
- Support
payment processing, bank transactions, petty cash management, and monthly
reconciliations.
- Accurately
enter financial transactions into NetSuite accurately and on a timely
basis.
- Ensure
all transactions are supported by complete and valid documentation prior
to posting in accordance with RI’s applicable accounting policies,
procedures, and standards.
- Verify
the accuracy of transaction details, account codes, projects, donors, and
cost centers before data entry.
- Assist
with month-end and year-end closing activities, including posting assigned
journal entries, preparing schedules, reconciling accounts, and ensuring
all transactions are recorded accurately and within reporting deadlines.
- Support
internal and external audits by preparing requested financial documents.
- Maintain
employee records and support recruitment, onboarding, and performance
appraisal processes.
- Assist
with payroll-related documentation, staff benefits, leave tracking, and
end-of-service settlements.
- Support
office administration, including supplies, service contracts, office
maintenance, and general logistics.
- Coordinate
with banks, suppliers, service providers, and internal departments to
ensure smooth operations.
- Assist
in preparing finance, HR, and administrative reports as required.
- Ensure
compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and
administrative procedures.
- Perform
any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to
support the effective operation of the organization.

5. Qualifications and Requirements:
Skills, knowledge and expertise required for the role.
Essential criteria (education degree, years of
experience)
- Bachelor’s
degree in finance, Accounting.
- Experience
in accounting/finance not less than 2 years
- INGO/NGO/Audit
previous experience
- Ability
to administer budgets, manage finance function.
- Analytical/Communication/inter-personal
skills
- Ability
to work under highly stressful conditions
- Writing/drafting
skills
- Advanced
Excel skills
- Ability

- Familiarity
